Jellyfish

making new friends

Megan boogie boarding!

Jaden playing baseball on the beach.

Our first trip to the Beach! We had a fun day at the beach. It was a church activity and we are so glad we made the 2 hr trip. We got to see some more sights of California and it was beautiful! It was a little cold and windy but nothing you couldn't handle. The kids were funny when we told them where we were going they didn't want to go , because they didn't want to see a Shark or a Whale .There is just something about being at the beach that makes you happy. The kids had a blast with their new friends they have made. They didn't want to leave. Jaden was jumping in the waves and fell down and got some water in his mouth. He came running to me and almost crying said" I didn't like that water mom, it was yucky!" Gotta love the salt water. We saw lots of dead jelly fish that were washed up. And we did see a whale that was far away. Our car was full of sand when we got home and we were so tired and sunburned the next day . But lots of good memories were made=)

It looks like good times! There is something relaxing about beaches. It makes it even more a priority to come visit.

lanie was there, she was just asleep in her car seat. I didn't want to disturb her from the waves of the ocean. She was such a good baby that day!(everyday=))

If you get a rental car for the day you don't have to clean out all the sand from the beach. Plus your kids can eat chips and crackers in the car too. That is a vacation in itself. We let Colby use crayons in our last rental--sorry Avis. Your kids are going to be the cool California cousins that know how to surf and boogie board--you guys are good at everything. No fair!

Hi! What a fun day at the beach! I LOVE the beach and I'm so sad that summer is over and we won't be going as often. You're right, there is something about the beach that makes everyone happy...and keeps the kids occupied for hours without complaints. Cute pics...and I loved the little video of Megan boggie boarding. You guys need to plan on a So. Cal vacation next summer!!!

Whenever I think of beaches and open water I remember remember Dad telling us that the bear lake monster lived underneath the bouy's at Bear Lake to discourage us from swimming to far out.
